Reporting directly to the President and Vice-Chancellor as the Vice-President (Administration), Roger Couldrey oversees the University’s administrative and ancillary services. He ensures that all financial, physical, systems and human resources are effectively utilized. He works closely with members of the McMaster community to address challenges and opportunities facing the University.

Prior to taking the role of Vice-President (Administration), Roger served for ten years on the Board of Governors, and seven years as Chair of the Finance and Audit Committees.

Prior to McMaster Roger was instrumental in two internet start-ups. He was the Chief Operating Officer of CommunityLend Inc., a new Canadian venture in peer-to-peer lending and President and CEO of ePost, the world’s first electronic post office. He had an extensive career with Bank of Montreal, where he held a number of executive positions. Roger also spent three years locally with Orlick Industries.

Roger has a long history of active community involvement, having been Chair of the United Way, President of the Art Gallery of Hamilton, and Vice-Chair of the Royal Botanical Gardens among others. He is married to Ruth, and has three adult children.
